Canadians for Kamala Pre-Election Screenprint Event !

I was talking to my friends about the U.S. election and the HOPE Kamala Harris brings, and we thought LET'S DO A KAMALA PRINTING PARTY !!! 

 Everyone got SO excited and here's the plan.....  It will be on October 20th (Kamala's Birthday!) from 2 to 5pm. 

AND I am doing this event at a very discounted price - $47 (to celebrate that she will be the 47th President !!).

Come in with ANYTHING you want to screenprint - all fabrics/items are printable so be creative and upcycle things you already have - clothes, pillowcases, tablecloths, paper sky's the limit ! 

Bring in YOUR OWN artwork to put on a silkscreen (it's easy, I'll teach you how!) OR design your artwork here - I'm here to help and have everything we need. 

SCREENPRINT your items with YOUR silkscreen, and all of my silkscreens too.  You can even borrow other participants screens - I'm sure they will find that fun to do. Mix it up !  I have every colour of silkscreening ink - so just think of the possibilities ! 

WEAR your creations before, DURING, and after election night - it's a time in history to remember <3 

FAQs 

Where is it ?

At Peach Berserk, of course ! We’ll have my entire event space to party and be creative in  1694 Queen St West Toronto , just East of Roncesvalles  

Do I have to put Kamala in my print ? 

No - you could do a print about women's rights, equality, making a better world, sustainability, Canadian politics, housing rights etc, etc  - it all fits ! 

I'm not creative and/or I've never silkscreened before, is that ok ? 

YES !  You are my favourite type to teach/work with - you will be SO happy with what you will learn and create. 

I'd love to bring my kids - what ages is this good for ? 

Ages 7 and up are perfect ! 

Can I bring food and/or drinks ? 

Yes bring anything you like - that will make it more fun.

BTW, you are Canadian, why are you doing an event about American politics ?

Good question !  I'm doing it because what happens in The States (especially if they elect a dangerous felon and fool like Trump) , affects us in Canada, and everyone around the world.  We really do live in a global village - and since I can't vote in this election, I'm doing this instead - Craftivism !!
