What kind of masks are these?
These are cotton, handmade, non-medical masks. According to Ontario public health, this type of mask may serve as source protection -- they can be a useful tool in curbing the spread of the virus because they cut down on the droplets being transmitted through our breath. If we wear them, we may ultimately protect each other as well as ourselves.
Can I wash them?
Definitely! They are designed to be washed and put in the dryer after each use. The ink will not wash out. If you prefer, you can iron them.

How are the masks made?
Every mask is hand-sewn here in Toronto by people who sew for a living. When you buy a mask, you are helping local people keep their independent business going in an incredibly difficult time.
I see the option for a custom print masks , what's that about ? I love people's ideas and creativity, and why not have the fun of your own idea on a mask ? People have sent me photographs, symbols, their company logo, kids drawings, everything. You dig dinosaurs ? Let me know and I will print one for you. Order under 'custom prints' and then email me your art or call to discuss.
Do you have a kid's size ?
Yes, we have one kids size. There is a picture, here, that shows my kid's size, in relation to our regular adult size. If you would like this, place your order normally and then email me to let me know which of your masks should be kid's size. I will confirm, I got it and I will make your fab kid's mask!
Does my mask have a nose wire?
No, because this is not a medical mask and it fits more face shapes this way. You can insert a wire into the top seam of the mask if you want it. Just thread any kind of flexible wire into the seam.
How is the print made?
We hand-print (and sometimes hand-paint details) over individually hand-made masks, to order. This takes time, even though we are working as fast and hard as we can, and imperfections in printing are part of the charm of the finished piece! My Peach Berserk look fUnKy. I love creative hand screenprinting exactly for that reason. No two masks will be exactly the same !
We print over the pleats of the masks. There is no print inside the pleats. This is our look, which is (of course!) unique.
We use environmentally friendly water-based inks which are heat set before we ship to you, so they are completely washer and dryer safe.
And we do our very best to get your order right, but we sometimes make a mistake. If this happens to you, please call or email me, and I will fix it asap. <3
