Part of our “A Creative Life” series, this immersive event brings you up close with artists who have built long, meaningful creative careers. Our goal is to inspire folks to bring more creativity into their own lives, and our events are all about that kind of alchemy!  

With Ron Hawkins, you’ll experience:

• 🎸 A live acoustic performance in an intimate setting

• 🎤 Stories from decades in music and art — the real, unfiltered creative life

• 🖼️ A hands-on silkscreen workshop featuring his original artwork that YOU get to silkscreen print with!

• 🍽️ A shared dinner experience with fellow creative humans, artists, music fans, and people opening up to art and unique experiences!

• 💬 A hosted Q&A with Kingi, diving into creativity, process, and inspiration

🎨 The Silkscreen Experience

During the workshop:

• Choose from a curated collection of ~12 original Ron Hawkins designs
• Print two items plus a canvas. (Items include tees, tote bags, tea towels and we supply these)
• Bonus fun: Print on your own items — tees, jackets, dresses, hoodies, tote bags, anything wearable + curtains, banners, duvet covers and more!
• Experiment with layering, colour blending, and bold compositions
• Use our vibrant rainbow ink palette to make something completely your own

No art experience needed.
Just come curious and ready for fun!

🎶 About Ron Hawkins

Ron Hawkins is one of Canada’s most respected independent songwriters, best known as the founder of Lowest of the Low, whose album Shakespeare My Butt became a cult classic in Canadian music.

With a career spanning decades, Ron has built a body of work that is raw, poetic, political, and deeply human. Alongside his music, he’s also a visual artist, creating work that translates beautifully into silkscreen form.

This night is a rare chance to experience both sides of his creative world — music and visual art — in one room.
