Step into an evening of tea leaves, tarot, symbolism and silkscreening at Peach Berserk — just in time for Halloween.
Hosted by Andra Zlatar and Kingi Carpenter, this immersive workshop begins with exploring the fascinating traditions of tea-leaf reading and tarot.
Then, the evening turns into a hand-on silkscreen art workshop where you turn your inspiration into a one-of-a-kind wearable art talisman!
Each guest will receive a tarot card at the door, setting the energy for the evening.
The workshop begins over tea with Andra, who will introduce us to the history and symbolism of tasseomancy — the art of reading tea leaves.
We’ll explore how people have interpreted the shapes, symbols and patterns left behind in a teacup, and learn some of the cultural history surrounding fortune-telling and divination.
And then it’s time to read the signs. 🙌
Through fun group activities, we’ll explore the imagery and symbolism of both the tarot cards and tea leaves and learn how meaning can be interpreted.

What do you see in your cup? What symbols keep appearing? What does your tarot card stir up? What energy do you want to take with you?
Next we head into the Peach Berserk silkscreen studio!
Inspired by your tea leaves, tarot card, symbols or whatever mysterious ideas have surfaced during the evening, you’ll create a design and silkscreen it onto a tee or tote to make your own personal talisman — something to wear, carry and take home from the experience.
🎃 And because it’s almost Halloween, dressing up is highly encouraged. Come as your favourite tarot card, a mystical alter ego, or simply dress to embody whatever energy you’d like to summon for the night. ✨
No experience with tarot, tea reading, drawing or silkscreening is necessary. Curiosity is all you need.
Come drink tea, read the signs, make some art and see what appears.
Then you'll learn how to:
Create your artwork
Put it onto a silkscreen
Print your design by hand
Experiment with placement, layering and colours
Leave with amazing and unique custom wearable art that you made yourself!

Our space is on the ground floor, no steps at the entrance.
Guests in wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility devices have attended with ease.
Washroom is on the main floor (small, but no steps).
Parking is easy — Green P lot nearby + plenty of street parking.
