A Networking & silkscreen printing Experience for women and gender diverse entrepreneurs.

At Make Your Own Merch & Mingle, you'll spend the evening connecting with other entrepreneurs, artists, designers, musicians, small business owners, and creative thinkers while learning one of the coolest art forms—silkscreen printing! 

Whether you're building a brand, launching a side hustle, promoting your music, celebrating your art, or simply want to create something completely original, you'll design your own artwork, turn it into a professional silkscreen, and print your own custom merch to take home! 

No experience is necessary; we'll guide you through every step! 🙌

✨ How the evening will go

Arrive at 6, and enjoy some mingling time to meet the other guests, have some refreshments and chat about your business and what you want to make at the event! 

Co-host MJ Payne will tell us about her entrepreneurial offerings & upcoming events for Women+ Entrepreneurs of West End Toronto.

Then Becca Lemire RMT will offer a grounding meditation and healing sound bath to provide some creative inspiration and relaxation. 

Next, Kingi, the Silkscreen Queen, will teach you how to design artwork for silkscreening, how to put it onto a screen and how to print! 

✨ What You'll Create

Design your own artwork, logo, illustration, slogan, and/or graphic. 

Then you'll learn how to:

• Create your artwork

• Put it onto a silkscreen

• Print your design by hand

• Experiment with placement, layering and colours

• Add embellishments like hand-painting, grommets, rhinestones and more.

• Leave with amazing and unique custom merchandise that you made yourself! 

This workshop includes:

• 2 items to print (choose from our selection of printables: t-shirts, tote bags, tea towels)

• 2 custom silkscreens to use in the workshop*

• Use of Peach Berserk's tools, inks and supplies

• Expert instruction throughout the workshop

Dresses, blazers, jeans and more can be easily upcycled and funkified with silkscreen printing!

• Floor-to-ceiling vintage Paint-by-Numbers art!

Rumour has it there are over 1500+ paintings in Kingi's art collection. No one knows for sure, but you're welcome to try to count when you're here!

• Our space is on the ground floor, no steps at the entrance.

• Guests in wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility devices have attended with ease.
